NUMS Organizes Workshop on Cochrane Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis at KEMU Lahore.

Cochrane Pakistan successfully organized a two-day workshop titled “Cochrane Systematic Review & Meta-Analysis” on April 24–25, 2026, at the King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore. The workshop brought together participants from KEMU and several other institutions, with the objective of strengthening faculty capacity in evidence-based research.

The workshop offered comprehensive, hands-on training in the core methodologies required for conducting high-quality systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Expert-led sessions guided participants through each stage of the review process, equipping them with practical skills essential for contributing to robust, evidence-based medical research in Pakistan.

Key sessions included formulating PICO questions, using RevMan software, interpreting forest plots, and conducting risk of bias assessments.

Enthusiastic Participation and Positive Feedback

The workshop received an overwhelmingly positive response from faculty members and participants. Attendees particularly appreciated the interactive format and the facilitators’ depth of knowledge. One participant remarked, “The facilitators kept the online participants, such as me, engaged at all times.”
